Digital Products - income streams with ChatGPT - Burce Bulut Ozan

Introduction

Thank you so much, everyone. So it's great to be here today. So I'm gonna walk through, but let me first introduce myself briefly.

I'm Burça Bulut Ozan. I'm engineer and works as an consultant actually, but my main focus is sales and marketing.

The Transformation of Expertise into Digital Products

So today I'm gonna talk about how we can transform our expertise or knowledge into digital products with help of ChatGPT. So this is possible. You have some knowledge, some profession, some talent, but you don't know how to create these digital products. It's easy now with the help of ChatGPT to transform that into some digital products.

What are Digital Products?

So what are these digital products actually? It can be any kind of printables, it can be print-on-demand products, it can be anything on YouTube running or podcast.

So I just combine them, some classify them here and if you see this, it's the easiest one on the top and the Most difficult one is the button. So you can create any of them.

The Role of Language Models in Product Creation

We have also LLMs here as well, but I won't be talking about them here today. So before, maybe until recently, I didn't know this is possible to create these digital products easily.

1So you can create anything and sell them actually to make some extra income for yourself. So for my profession, I'm a consultant, I work with people one-to-one, and that kind of product actually could be complement to my work, so I can create them, I can share them, and get some results from my clients.

Utilizing ChatGPT for Digital Product Strategy

So when I started to discover it, how I can do it, I used ChatGPT's help as always. And here, we will see how ChatGPT can help with us, actually, with my prompts.

The first thing I ask is that how you can guide me as a strategist. So I work as a sales and marketing strategist as well, but I would like to get some more information from ChatGPT for that.

Case Study: The Financial Advisor's Journey

Let's imagine for a while I'm financial advisor, and I have a very deep experience with investments. and I'm working full-time, but wanna make some extra money with digital products, but I don't know where to start, right?

So when I use this prompt, I will get some advice from JetGPT, what kind of products actually I can create. One step further, I can ask also what platforms I can sell on, right?

So I know Etsy, everyone knows Etsy, but there are lots of other platforms that I haven't heard of it, until recently, like Society6, like Creative Market, something like this. And then it again guides me very well what platforms are available for me just with this prompt.

Overcoming Design Challenges

The third step is design step. I'm not a designer. I don't have any art talent, so I'm engineer. So I need some expertise on designing part as well.

So with this prompt, it was a very basic one-shot one. So I ask it, what kind of design trends we are having at the moment? And it depends on my audience as well. So I get that design trends, it could be, so I didn't give all the examples here, but we can take for suggestion for creating some color palettes, creating some typography, creating even some art for our documentation.

Leveraging DALL-E for Visual Content Creation

This is where DALL-E comes into the picture. So I also use DALL-E to create some examples of pictures, some images, or even design templates for my digital products. I have a very simple way to get these images from DALL-E.

So I just first describe my dream picture in a very detailed way, and then request for a style. and then specify main accent and accent colors that I want to use, and then clarify my expectations from all over look, and show my purpose where I'm going to use this picture. So this is my main structure that works for all of our digital products at the moment.

This one is a very basic one I created for one of my talks, so it's a little robot teaching generative AI for nursery kids. It's, I think, one or two shots. I give as much as possible details in one shot to get best results as quick as possible.

So we were talking about financial advisor who is trying to create a guide for some people about how to invest. So I wrote very detailed prompt here to get this picture as a cover picture. Why I wrote that much detail in one prompt?

Because I wanted to get it in first place. I don't want to spend more than a couple of shots, because from my experience that if I do it in three or four shots, it gives me the best results. But if it takes more than this, it starts to hallucinate and forgets about where we start, what I need actually, and then it goes wrong.

So that's why I started to give all the details at the beginning to get this result. I need some bubbles to explain where they can use it. I need some headline as invest so they can catch it. I need some diverse couple here so they can relate it with and then they are young, probably fresh graduate, just started to I put all this information in one prompt and I got this picture I think after two or three shots.

So this is one example we can use it for digital art. Another one is that, I mean, it's not a great timing to share some food picture, I appreciate that, I didn't think about it before, but this is a very good macro photo of a food, right? So whenever you create something needs macro close look, so it would be food, it could be any kind of product of yours. It's best to get macro look. And then if you see it's another very detailed prompt, it's almost like a recipe, right?

Because I explained everything in a very detailed way to get the best result again in two or three shots. And this one is a different one because it's to create some patterns. So we will see where we can use our patterns, but this is again coming from Dali directly. So this time I gave a very detailed explanation about my cupcake. So it's all the colors, structure, backgrounds, but I prefer just close shot without any background this time. Why? Because I'm gonna use this one to create some patterns. And what you see behind is that pattern we created on Canva.

Creating Digital Products Using Canva

So when it comes to how we use this, how we create these digital products, we use Canva actually. You know Canva, it's a design tool, it's very user-friendly, and it has amazing patterns and templates already in place. So it's very easy to use for new beginners and non-technical person.

So what you can do actually, you can design your products totally in Canva. So what we do, we choose a design, simplify the design, apply our color scheme, apply our branding and all the information we need. And then we put our patterns or digital art, clip art inside of it, and your digital product is ready.

So you can create collections, you can create packs of products just using only DALL-E, ChatGPT, and Canva. So I wanted to give you some examples what we have been creating with.

Examples of Digital Products on Etsy

This is on Etsy actually. So if you can have a look at this, These are very well stored on Etsy, selling some digital products like meeting notes, some monitoring tools, or even some basic planners.

Another section is decorative printables. That's a very trendy one as well. You basically create an art, printable art on Canva or if you are talented enough, maybe Procreate and then you can turn into some valuable art pieces and upload it on Etsy or other platforms and they can print and use it like this.

Another one is guides. If you have a knowledge, deep knowledge on something, it could be investment, it could be knitting, it could be decoration, anything actually, you name it, and you can make some guides to sell on that kind of platforms again.

Expanding into Print-on-Demand

And the other area you could achieve is that print-on-demand sites. This is slightly different than printables because this time they do actually produce the actual product and deliver it to end user, but you don't need to do anything. They take care of all the process. You only need to create your own digital art again. So it's slightly different approach to art, but it's same. methodology you need to run.

So this is some artwork examples here that I created before and you can create clip art to use print on demand size and you can make some beautiful patterns to use on there. And then at the end, they convert it to that kind of products here, like anything. They have more than 100 product types, they sell easily, and they take care of everything, and you take your royalty from them. And they take care of your rights as well, copyrights.

Conclusion: Key Points for Digital Product Success

So as wrapping up, I would like to highlight some key points of success for this. The first thing is you need to find your niche and be very original. That's the main thing.

1And then because there is a high competition, if you want to reach some valuable it needs to be very good content.

And then design high quality products, spend so much time, use ChatGPT, DALI efficiently, and create very high quality products. And then pick relevant color palettes, this is so important as well, it could be pastel colors, it could be neon colors, but find something relevant to your audience and then check it if it's user-friendly, if it's functional, if it's really solving a problem for your users and then follow the trends.

That's so important because we are talking about digital products, so it needs to be something really trendy. Make collections so you can have your own store there and make sure it's okay to print by these sites.

Thank you so much again for listening to me today. Thank you.
