Hello, everyone. I'm very pleased to be here.
Thank you very much, Benjamin. Thank you very much, Stefano.
We will talk about locking collaborative learning with AI, vast subject. But first, let's start with a small question to know each other.
We are not very numerous. So, does some of you have children? Maybe you can raise your hand if you have children.
Okay, not so much. Does some of you have a nephew, niece? All right, much.
And I guess everybody was a child back in the days. So at least we have a common ground to build the story.
On my side, I have two kids, and I think you can relate. They ask a lot of, not silly, but very interesting question, deep question, like why is there clouds? Why is it dark? What is the light?
many more questions and I think you can relate to those questions. And we spend a lot of time trying to answer, trying not to be like exhausted by those questions.
And actually when we get adults, we don't ask those questions. And I don't know if this is because we don't dare to ask or just because there is nobody to answer actually. So I don't know that, but I think one thing is like there is a new adult in the room and I think AI is playing a bit this role.
So you can ask all question you want, It will answer whatever, like just like an adult say, okay, I won't disappoint my child saying, I don't know. It will never say, I don't know. I'm not sure it's a good point, but still.
1And I think this aspect of AI is very interesting in like learning. So this is why I will try to cover with all.
Okay, let's ding a quick intro demo time because I was asked.
to be demoing I think I will take a video I will take the sake of not trying the demo effect and it will be like time keeping also better some results that we have and what's coming next so quick intro of course a bit of myself so now you know I have two kids I used to do some consulting in bigger organizations then I turned to product where I do like digitalization and transforming last mile operation
So basically everything around like stuff we delivered, but also food, not only like Amazon or else. And now I'm working more on learning at 360 Learning, the company and the software I will be talking about.
We have a tremendous team and my main mission is like, how to use AI in the software for L&D people and for learners and everything that comes around.
In a few words 360 learning, I won't bother you with that. We are a French company, we are like 360 people, it's not a it's a fun fact actually i think we are around this number those days it's written more than 400 but i'm not sure we reach 400 many customers and basically we are an lms learning management system and the idea is to say like you take the you take the product to host your learning knowledge and to share your learning uh your training materials with the learner
And actually we have some user around the table here. So it's cool to be here and about the vision and the mission.
So our we are sure that collaborative learning is the answer to workforce readiness, meaning like in the world, in the society, in the economy, we need all to evolve, okay? We need to learn new skills to adapt. So collaborative learning is the solution and AI is the key, is the key to spot those skills gaps, to spot where to put the effort and to engage the learners, create the content, et cetera.
So I won't speak more about that. Let's see how it goes.
So as I said, I will demo it, but inside of video and actually have the platform open. So if the video is not work, we can go in the platform, but okay, don't go too fast.
um okay i will do the voiceover anyway so this is basically the platform uh it can be fully adapted here is an example and it will play the role of uh madam taylor and i will start creating contents so i will go there um and i will create course and of course i will use ai so as benjamin showed uh the first question i asked my hope i thought it was like putting nope
Come back to me. Yes, so I cannot use the space bar. So we'll come back there.
And yes, I was about to create this content. And basically I was like, I don't know exactly what will be the audience tonight. I know I will speak about my product. I will speak about AI in this product. But I was like, what use case should I use to present you?
And I asked myself like, what question I will ask somebody before doing this presentation. I was like, okay. How should I start my presentation? What public speaking skills I should use to do my presentation and to make it more engaging, more interesting for you about AI use case in L&D.
So basically this is what I ask in our cross-generation module. So here I put some title. Here is exactly the same kind of prompt Benjamin showed. So here you should combine public speaking skills, storytelling about AI use case in learning and development.
And as for the audience of this course, of course, it's myself. So I put AI product manager. And here we have the generation process. And the idea is to say like this usage of AI is fully embedded, integrated in our platform so that you get directly a native course.
So here we have the description of the course. You will see that in a catalog.
And we have the different parts of the modules that are created, basically the slides. We can call it the slides of the module. So let's see what has been created.
It's saying that I should start with a question. Maybe do you have kids or something like that. A personal story, so I hope I did it.
Of course, I already read it, so... So basically it's creating a course ready to be consumed, ready to be shared to your learners.
So you have the learning part with information, with example, and the interactive part where you can ask questions and prove the knowledge and understand. So we have a bit more. The idea is to showcase you everything we do in the platform.
So here is suggested questions. So imagine you're in a case or you created content and you don't want to go into a boring part of like, okay, what question should I ask to prove the learner has encoded knowledge? So here is generated question based on on the content so we will add more here is what we call the scenario based so we put the learner in a scenario and we ask him the right behavior and i'm showcasing now and demoing like what we call the smart review um right now like
for the rest of the previous part of the demo, the AI was playing the role of the instructional designer or the expert in learning. Say, okay, you are maybe a subject matter expert or an instructional designer and I can help you build your content. Okay, I can help you generate the content. Here, we are in another aspect of the L&D is like where AI can help you play the role of the tutor, of the instructor.
So what I did, It's time to train, so I ask the learner to prepare his presentation and to simulate actually what you will tell to your audience tonight. And I put some guidance for the AI to correct. So here I ask him to check if the learner is providing a nice opening, sharing personal story, real data, some quotes, quoting some AI use case, and of course thanking the audience. And we're going to test it.
So of course I prepared some answer and I guess you will recognize what I did tonight. So it's a small, but I say, okay, it's a great audience. Thank you for having me. The AI is like congratulating me for saying thank you and saying hi. First step, good thing. And now it asked me like, maybe I can share something personal to start.
And basically I'm putting exactly what I, the example of the children questions. And AI will provide me instant feedback, so relate to your maybe high school or engineering school or whatever school you did, like when you put in copy, you give back the copy to the professor, you wait for him to correct it, hopefully will not lose your paper, and the next week you get it back, you get a note, You get your feedback and your progress. So the idea is to shorten this time and to get real feedback on like, let's try it live.
And of course, here I'm showcasing the written example for you, but we can imagine, of course, the next level is like listening and maybe I can do the speech yesterday, get some AI feedback and train. For my defense, I didn't do that. That's why I'm like not perfect on this one. Okay, so that's basically it.
So I showcase like, When you put your prompts, oh, I started over, right? Yeah, sorry, wrong button.
And now the idea is to say that sometimes you have documents in your business where you have like proprietary skills, proprietary knowledge, and you want to use it to create a training. So either it's like software training, a procedure, a process, workflows, and you want to share information on new products.
So the next, The next step, yeah, so this one is like the learner point of view because otherwise we were in the editor.
Nope, of course, I should not have did the video in live. This will not happen.
And yeah, basically the last but not least feature is We create the course, but instead of providing the prompt, we provide the documents. So here, the document I'm providing actually is like AI learning use cases in L&D.
And you can think about document created with other AI tools or whatever documents. And it will generate it. And basically, it will be ready to be shared.
So here is like how to transform your LNG strategy with AI. And it really suggests like will usage, myths you have to overcome to understand the impact, et cetera.
So that's basically it on like content building and also interactivity you can search for.
I will maybe finish with a last example of what we can do in such kind of usage is like, I will just take an example.
It's like, okay, I follow my training and as Benjamin showed, maybe I followed this training one week and just before the training, I'm like, okay, give me some tips and I need to recall some of it. So here I put like, oh, should I use AI in my daily L&D work?
I could also show an example like, what is a good opening for tonight? Maybe I will show, I will do that example. What would, what should be,
my opening yes i'm not writing opening in a webinar on ai use case in lnd i hope it will work we're gonna try um and basically here we can think about ai like saying okay you have learning content this is a new way of like uh ingesting it and interacting with it we can follow the course but in the daily work uh and in the in the live session you're like maybe you have a question maybe you want to use the knowledge you forget about or you want to recall specific tips and here you will have the answer so start with a question or surprising fact or personal story we'll even like do an example and okay i can access the course and this is the exact course we were talking about earlier
So that's it for the demo time and as I'm like representing the tool, let's say, I will maybe end up with a few results of the usage in the platform.
I'm not in the slideshow, I can be like bigger.
And to end up some results, so I show you like some two parts, the creating content part and the tutorial, like interactivity are currently on the platform, like the entire platform, all the platform, all the clients.
We are around like 20% of course created with AI. So basically like the first step of the course is using AI.
It represents, we were talking about saving time. It represents thousands of hours saved for our top clients. So the top user, the top companies using it are saving hours with that.
And on the other part, you can imagine, recall the professor correcting the copy, assessing its students. It's exactly the same.
75% of the answers done with AI are directly corrected with AI, meaning that the learner reached success with AI, and only 25%, so one over four, need to be reviewed by a human because either the learner didn't find the correct answer or the AI was not able to assess it, or either the learner asked not AI to assess it, it happens.
So we are talking about days saved by month for those L&D people who can take this time, to do something else. I don't think you have time to do new things.
There are so many things to do, but at least they can focus on what matters most and where the value is more important. Those are some returns on real people using it.
We are not like building the returns and inventing things. We are not the first users.
And what's coming next?
So basically it was like normal content and those features are quite, not all of them, but some are quite old. It's basically exactly what Benjamin said.
Raise a hand if you are an instructional designer, basically building trainings. And raise a hand if you are a subject matter expert.
Yeah, this is quite French, we're quite humble. Basically, you all are a subject matter expert. You have a topic where you can share knowledge, okay?
We can ask you a question and you will be able to share knowledge, to share expertise. And the idea is to say, you don't need to be both of them, okay? It's not only instructional designer who need to create trainings and not only subject matter expert who need to become instructional designer to share.
So this is the next generation coming before the end of the year of this content building. And it looks quite the same from Gamma saying like, first, we will have an iteration on the architecture, on the outline, on the plan of your training.
we will iterate on like the learning objective you want to to share and then we will generate the content so we will refine and the idea is to say ai here will suggest like okay based on your input understand that your learning objective is this one and i am putting the good the instructional designer format so that can help you understand how to put uh the the inputs in the in the proper way we show in your demo like
If you are asking AI to play the instructional designer, you have to have prompt engineering skills. 1The idea is to say everybody should be able to generate training materials without prompt engineering skills, without instructional designer skills, and focusing on the subject matter experience skills.
Okay, as I said, I focus on content building and learner assistant and interaction, but we have many more areas, like in Enrico Pilot, we talk about like Gmail, et cetera, and Corona is basically like, how do you automate everything?
And the new ways of learning is a bit what I showed with the exchanges, like how do you train and how do you simulate situation to train as real life?
Okay, thank you very much for your attention and I hope you enjoyed the presentation.
