Oh people raise hands no so I'm gonna show you some of their recorded use cases first which is a little cheeky because the spirit of MindStone is live demos always but I kind of want to compare the recorded demo to live one because it's in my testing so far it's real but it's just a little bit slower um so let me share my screen
this one hopefully yep you guys can all see that so there's a couple different use cases here i'm just going to show you guys the one until you get to the google maps use case
so it's an agentic browser with a research system on the side that will have computer use feature feature um I'm used to computer use being something introduced by anthropic and a feature of Claude initially um so it's really important to have strict controls on it I don't generally market it as an agent because I like to stay in control of what my systems do on my computer and on my
devices um so there's that one there's YouTube video this summarizes YouTube video let me just um yeah this is this is a really cool one okay hopefully all of you guys were able to see that
um i found that maps use case really exciting by the look of it because i send a silly amount of time looking for like nearby car parks and venues to somewhere i need to be um so if there was a way to basically have flexi finding me the nearest car park to wherever i'm going and interact in maps directly to then put me on that route that would be awesome um so we're
gonna try and do that now in um invite see i'm just gonna cancel the route i'm on cool um
let me share my screen again uh the name of the last platform was incredible is how it's to pronounce but i believe the website is incredible .one so this is perplexity oh sorry
this is google maps in the comet browser and i've actually already got the research assistant up here let me just close it down for a sec to see what it looks like um so in the browser i've got this tag up here assistance and i think the actual quickest way to do it is type this directly by
actually the cooler demo even though it's a little slow is the voice of activated version version.
So let's suppose I am going to commit treachery and go to the other place, Oxford, to see the Mindstone events there, which are actually really quite good. I know they're at the Slow and Steady pub in Oxford.
So say I'm getting in the car and I want to give that instruction.
Hello, please could you start a journey from Marlow to the Slow and steady pub in Oxford actually scratch that can you find a car park that's very close to the slow and steady pub in Oxford I found information that there's
parking available in Reimers Lane prompting is always the devil in the details here please start the journey to that car park you just mentioned okay I'll
try this one more time and I'll click end the session afterwards see if it works this time but can you set the journey to the slow and steady pub in in Oxford from Sainsbury's in Marlow, that direction, and start that journey in Google Maps, please.
Nope, so if I click end session, that's not gonna get me what I need.
Let's try one more time to try to avoid friction.
Hello, please start a journey from Sainsbury's in Marlow to the Slow and Steady Pub in Oxford. Oxford, actually make the journey to a car park next to the Slow and Steady pub in Oxford.
Okay, I'm muting myself in the app so it doesn't interject. But there we go.
Fourth attempt, there's no reason why those attempts should be connected to one each other, but I got the phrasing correct that time.
But you can see here, real -time computer use, Comet, a browser, is inputting into Google Maps.
So first thing it's doing is it's searching car parking in a slow and steady pub, which is great.
Computer use is wild, you know, like it's slow because the sort of manual movement is harder.
It's gonna make captures ridiculous. Cause I think captures right now, not based on how complex they are, but how you approach the task,
like certain drag captures are done because a human will take a mouse and click and drag a task in a sort of non -linear way.
but as i get better and better at this um computer tools the capture generating people have their work cut out for them have i missed any questions while i'm looking at this oh free car park did i ask for a free car park um maybe that's ambitious happy halloween as well everybody i was wondering if i could do a halloween themed version of this uh but always has to be about press guy ah okay so
So it's found, it's searched for a few of them. It's still working. It's going to get there. It's actually helpful to have this recorded so it's timed how long this is taking.
So it's found a car park, but it hasn't got the starting point. Can I help it out? No, I can't help it out. That's interesting.
Oh, no. It's sticking to my side. Okay. Oh, almost.
this is what I do sometimes that irritates my partner is I've put the location in but I actually haven't started the journey so if I was synced up to Bluetooth on the car it wouldn't it wouldn't quite start properly so I'll have to then do the extra step of clicking start journey which is which is
which is, where is it on a desktop? It sends directions to my phone, that's pretty cool.
Yeah, that's what's new with Comet, with one of those use cases, the computer use function, which I think is particularly cool.
The other thing they're doing at the minute
is they've got a finance dashboard. So for the finance bros among you you who are also tech bros and tech sisters, I suppose, and finance sisters, we now have a finance dashboard in complexity.
So am I still sharing my screen? Yep.
I'm familiar with the discovery page, this page here, the discovery page here, which is like a standard recommender algorithm media page for various news pieces.
Now you have a finance page. which gives you dashboards of various training platforms.
You also have queries here about finance, which is really cool.
And I've created a little watch list of various, you can create a watch list, there's actually a different account, of various stocks.
I'm not an active investor or someone who's especially up to date about this.
i like it to be passive so i can focus on other things um namely ai and ai ethics related but um
this is cool this is a you know cool ambition in fintech uh do you have any questions on that
what's new with perplexity piece have i tried doing this in the atlas browser no i haven't so
So do you mean the, I mean, Comet is its own browser. Like you download it and it opens as its own browser.
So it'd probably work the other way where like you would look up Atlas as a search engine within the Comet browser.
But no, that's cool. If you fancy demoing that at next month's My Cell Online, then we could all see that.
That looks like all the questions. Cool.
So I'm going to start.
