Introduction

Very good evening. We are here to present Cosmo, which is an AI native learning platform. I'm Jwalant, a strategic designer at Cosmo and is Michele, a co -founder and CEO at Cosmo.

So before showing you the demo, we wanted to show you the problem and context around which we started to develop Cosmo.

Why Learning at Work Feels Broken

This is the situation that each one of us face in our everyday life, where we have to accomplish a task in our everyday life. life and we don't know what to use. Do we use the resources that are available to us or do we ask chat GPT? This question is quite rhetoric.

Actually, the data shows that most of us do rely on chat GPT and other AI models to accomplish our tasks. And we do this because we need information, we need to learn right at the moment of need.

1But the problem with this kind of learning is, it is very unstructured, there is no structure to it, it's very scattered, it's unverified.

We don't know the validity of the solutions that we are getting, we don't know where the information is coming from, and it's unmeasured, like you don't know if you're actually growing the skills and what is the end goal.

Cosmo’s Approach: From Search to Structured Learning

So at Cosmo we are trying to concentrate on these problems, we wanted to reimagine learning

learning from pushing the content to pulling out the right information at the right time from random and scattered information to curated and verified

information based on your knowledge base and from monitoring just interaction you have with the content to actually creating a measured impact for company

Demo: Onboarding Questions, Answered from Verified Sources

and for learners both so let's dive into the demo so the first use case we wanted to show is onboarding which most of us face. Here we have the four questions which most of us face when we start working.

Let's interact with the first one. Yeah which is about we want to know how to take holidays and what is the policy around taking leaves.

So let's see how Cosmo responds. So as you can see you will get you will get the information based on your company's resources and also giving you references to where this data is pulled from.

If you If you have any other questions, you can also ask the tutor, maybe if you want to take a trip and you want to know how will you be reimbursed for this trip.

So you can just ask Cosmo about this and as you can see, the answer will again be pulled from your company's resources, giving you exact content from which this is pulled from.

So this is the shift that we are talking about. out. Not going through lengthy documents, manuals that your company provides, but start

working. You can start working immediately and ask questions as and when you require.

How It Works: The Four Pillars of Cosmo

But we wanted to show you the system behind this. So Cosmo has four pillars, which is design, adapt, guide, and analyze.

Let's go on a journey through these pillars.

Pillar 1 — Design: Upload, Organize, Transform

So first pillar is design design has three stages first is upload second is organized and

third is transform so as you can see you can upload your content you can go on content you can upload all the kind of content and when you upload the content

each content has to be assigned a tag a topic and right combination of skills as you can see here and this is very important where we can also guide you

because this will impact the kind of learning experience your user has and also kind of information that the company generates based on these interactions which we'll show you in the last pillar.

So once you upload a content, this content goes inside a module and this module goes inside a training program. So here you can see the content Light My Fire that we uploaded will go inside the module of Light My Fire and this goes inside the report.

and you can assign what group has access to this training plan and these groups are a set of users which are which are formed based on accessibility you want to provide.

So this is the first two stages of design.

Learner Experience: Chapters, Slides, Transcript, and Bookmarks

Now third stage is design so we have to move towards the learner side of the environment.

So as you can see once you upload the content yeah once you upload the content. Cosmo breaks it down automatically into chapters. It gives you a slide deck and gives you a transcript as well.

And here you can interact with the video. You can bookmark the moments that you feel are very important to you. And so you can just revisit them whenever you need instead of going through the entire content.

So this is the design part where it's It's about curating the experience for your learners and creating an impactful learning experience. There is one more part to this.

Topic-Based Navigation and Tutor Q&A

As you can see in the sidebar there is a conventional course view which all the LMS has. You can go in the course and go in the module and interact. But there is another way to interact as well.

If you remember we assigned topic to each of this content. content, you can directly, maybe you want to learn about AI, so you can directly click on the topic mentioned in the multi -selector, and you can directly ask the question. So Cosmo knows that you want to interact with this topic, and will pull out information from all the content that is assigned this topic.

As you can see, it is giving you information about what this is about, and it's also giving you the reference to this content. content.

And if you see the response of the tutor, it's very crisp and it also asks me following questions. So this is based on my learning styles. This leads us to the next

pillar which is adapt.

Pillar 2 — Adapt: Personalizing to Learning Styles

When a learner starts his or her journey on Cosmo, the tutor asks a set of questions. And these are very casual, conversational questions. And based on the responses that learner gives, the tutor identifies the learning, assigns a learning style.

So So as you can see my learning style is, what's the bottom? It's diverging. So now all the responses that the tutor gives moving ahead in this environment will be based on this learning style.

Pillar 3 — Guide: Getting the Right Answer at the Moment of Need

So now that the stage is set, we move on to another pillar which is guide. This is the crux of Cosmo. It guides you on various kind of queries that you have.

Example: Talent Garden Course (AI Tools, Workflows, Prompting)

and so this is the right place to show I think the one of the client that you are working with is talent garden we are we are having we have a course which is alternative way for creativity with six modules and for this case we recorded the lecture as well as the slide and put it into Cosmo and you just directly directly start interacting with the platform.

So they are the kind of question that we wanted to show is like, because it's a core topic of AI, we are all still experimenting. So what AI tool to use for different use cases. So it shows based on what your professor told, also showing the references, at this moment professor is talking about this thing. So you can know exactly what professor is stating regarding your doubt.

We can also show another use case where you are actually working on a project and now you need to know the tools, the workflows, and the prompting techniques. So we'll see how the Cosmo responds based on the verified knowledge base of the organization.

This is taking time because as you can see the answer is quite elaborate and this is like even a very happy surprise for us as well that it's so well detailed answer again Again showing various references if you can see, various moments from the lecture and showing you exactly what is being told at what moment.

Example: Stead as Homes (Conceptual Learning and Real-Life Situations)

Now we move on to another ambience which is Stead as Homes. This is different in a way that here we are actively involved in creating the content as well and giving structure to their knowledge base.

And the content here, if you see the courses are very, very wide and very important for the society.

So the questions we wanted to show you are like you want to understand this topic at a conceptual level and you want to see how it relates to your life. You can select any topic that you want to interact with.

This is about safeguarding and you actually have a situation in your life that you want to understand and understand the concept and also know how to deal with it. So again it's showing the answer, it's giving you the answer and again showing you exactly where this information is pulled from.

So this is what we were talking about, guiding you with different set of queries that you have, whether it's you want to experiment or whether you want to know it at conceptual level. Cosmo will guide you with different kinds of queries and it's just a small use case

Pillar 4 — Analyze: Measuring Skill Growth and Content Impact

that we are showing now we move on to the last stage last pillar which is analyze so user while interacting you you don't you just you don't have to watch the entire video to know like if you have progress or not you buy just while interacting your cosmo shows you how you are getting skilled with each of the skills mentioned here and also how much progress are you making in each of the courses.

So this is learner side.

For organizations and admin you can see this is again can be developed based on organization organization's requirement but you can see various parameters.

So you can set the filters regarding the period, regarding what content you want to see see the parameters, the courses, and the users. So it will give you various parameters about how the content is performing and how users are interacting with it.

And these are really insightful parameters that Cosmo presents, which will direct you to create a really smooth and impactful learning experience.
