Hi everyone, I'm Federico, CTO and co -founder of Exoid.
So, let's imagine we have a new brand drink that we want to launch on the market. We planned everything, we talked about the product, the branding and even the packaging. And now we are discussing with our colleagues about what we think the customer wants. We can spend the whole afternoon discussing about that, but maybe we just have to ask the customer. That's where market research comes in.
So, if we want to launch this product, what do we need? Maybe we want to understand the flavor, so what people would like, or the price, what they want to pay. Or maybe we want to go deeper about the audience, so who is our buyer?
To get this answer in a survey -based research actually takes some steps. We simplify the process into five steps. steps.
We start from the brief, that is a human readable document, in which you can describe your target audience, and then plan the questions, the branching logic, and the screen out.
This human readable document is what you need to agree with your colleagues or your agency about what the research should be.
Once you have it, you can't ship it to to your respondent like that. Because actually, respondents need something that can be playable and something to reply. So you have to build a survey.
For building a survey, I mean something that can be shipped and a respondent can actually reply to. And you can collect the responses.
Then you have to find the right audience. So you selected who you want inside the brief, but you have to reach them and this is not easy once you recruit them you have
a ton of responses and those are raw data and obviously you need to analyze them but once you analyze them you have got the insights but you have to know how to present them so the final stage is the report at Exoid we have built a
platform that thanks to AI help you through all the workflow it helps you you designing the survey, building it, and it helps you to reach and listen the right customers.
And finally, it helps you during the analysis, understanding, and presentation phase.
So, coming back to our example, what should we learn before launching our summer drink?
I think that a good idea is trying to understand preferences, so what people want and purchase intent what they may buy and every time is a good idea to leave a space for open feedback so that we can check if we may have missed something.
Now let's see how Exoid can help us through this process.
In Exoid everything starts with a brief. You can upload a brief and ask it to build it.
Exoid will go deep inside the brief to understand if everything is clear and And we'll question you with some clarification.
In this case, Exoid noticed something. Our target audience was 18 to 45. But inside the screening instruction, we were excluding only people under 18.
This is a small error that can heavily affect our research later. So it just takes a click to solve it.
So now we have the brief. We replied the question. and Exoid will build the survey.
You can see the question appearing on the screen question over question and once it's finished you can safely review the whole picture.
You can see all the questions, you can accept the edit and you can see easily all the branching logic.
So now we have questions, screening, we have the branching rule and we can still have a human review or even an AI review.
But now we have only a working survey. How can we reach our respondents? Who will answer?
And XOIT helped us in the recruitment module, in which you can recruit participants from pretty much all the world with several available filters, and you can can see cost and feasibility changing real time.
In this example, we were targeting people from 18 to 45. So we can see how we can do it easily. Once you blend all your filters, you can review everything and just launch your campaign.
OK, so we reached our audience. We shipped our survey. And this section replies to two of the most common questions in the research world, that are, can we reach this target, and how much does it cost?
So, let's see what respondents actually see. Here we have the screen of the respondent, and we can see an open -ended question. The respondent responds in a vague way. And so, Exoid will provide him with a follow -up question that tries to reach the goal the research was meant to. So we can have a deeper insight.
We started from a question that was planned, but then, usually in a survey -based interview, people reply vaguely. And here, a AI follow -up can bring a vague concern to a specific feedback. So, we reached our target.
We have seen the respondents.
Now, we have a ton of data, like thousands of responses. What do we have to do with them?
We have a report section in which you can ask to build a report. And it will plan all the structure. Once you approve it, it is going to generate the report.
The report will give you a deep overview of all the findings with an executive summary so that you can get all the insights super fast. Then you can go deeper inside paragraphs and read more about your insights and also see charts.
As you can see, the report is pretty extensive and you can export that in PowerPoint or even a new world.
But the report is just a certain point. It's a certain point for two reasons. The first one is that the report is iterative, so you can still iterate it manually or with AI.
And the second one is that during reading the report, usually, a lot of questions come to your mind, like who answered, or what supports this evidence, or what is still unknown.
And for that reason we have built TalkWithData. TalkWithData is a module in which you can ask a simple question and it's trying to provide a simple answer but with scientific rigor.
We can see the responses and they are made by, first of all, we have a reasoning plan and then they are made of text obviously but also widget that helps to understand data faster and in a more clear way obviously also talk with data is iterative so you can go deeper in your question or just ask for a different visualization so today we are
we have seen how to go from a question to understanding through all the research journey we have seen how to build a study how to hear the people and how to generate a report and
keep exploring as a cto what i care about is to create a product that is useful and trustworthy and that's why we have reproducible calculations traceable evidence and lastly but most important human judgment at exoid we are making it easier to ask the market and use the answer to decide
Thank you for your attention. I would love to hear your questions.
