Welcome and event introduction
Second Brain with Claude Code and Obsidian by Dan Ghadimi
For AI to become truly useful in business, it needs memory, context, and the ability to act. In this talk, I’ll show how to build a “second brain” where Obsidian serves as the long-term memory layer, and Claude Code operates as the agent that reads, reasons over, and executes against that knowledge. We’ll cover how to structure notes using Obsidian’s graph, YAML properties, and plugins to make them AI-readable, and how to build Claude Code skills/plugins that define clear, reliable actions on top of that memory. I’ll also walk through a real example where I've built a Claude Code plugin and Obsidian vault which starts with any thesis (e.g. "Energy is a bottleneck to AI progress") and then maps out industries, supply chains and individual companies to discover investment opportunities which are undervalued. The result is a system that turns static knowledge into something actionable, consistent, and compounding over time.
View recordingCustomer Facing AI Systems That Work For Everyone by Vanessa Porter
Most AI customer service systems pass every test they're given because the tests aren't looking for the right things. This talk looks at why automated systems in regulated industries routinely fail vulnerable people, and what a testing infrastructure built around real-world vulnerability signals actually looks like.
