Last time I showed you how Able matches gig workers to shifts in minutes. This time I'm showing you what happens when ethical AI goes deeper. I'll walk through two live platform flows — a freelancer building their AI-powered 'gigfolio' (video bio, verified skills, bookable calendar) and the full ethical human-in-the-loop hiring process where AI does the matching but humans make the final call. I'll share updates on our government partnerships with Innovate UK (The Department of Business and Trade), Mayor of London, and our work with Local London Work Connections across 8 east London boroughs. Then I'll present our (cryptographic, worker-owned) credential verification engine roadmap — an AI system that autonomously maintains, verifies, and updates professional qualifications across sectors from hospitality to healthcare. This is where agentic AI meets real-world worker empowerment: not replacing humans, but ensuring they're always qualified, compliant, and paid fairly. Able has hundreds of founding freelancers (growing every day!), early traction across hospitality, events, creatives, digital, admin and tech, government backing, and a seed round closing June 2026. AI is great at producing bullshit, but it can also be great at spotting it. The question is how we choose to use it. We will look at why many enterprise AI “transformation” programs burn through millions and deliver surprisingly little, and contrast that with results-driven approaches that start with one measurable bottleneck and scale from proven wins. Finally, we will bring it back to everyday life: using AI to challenge assumptions and strengthen critical thinking by analysing headlines from major news outlets.
