Hardening OpenClaw: From Open Door to Zero Trust by Ivor Padilla
OpenClaw is an open-source framework that turns LLMs into autonomous agents running on your own hardware, connected to your email, calendar, files, NAS and cloud services. Think of it as a personal AI assistant that actually does things, not just talks. Thousands of developers are self-hosting them right now. The problem: most deployments are wide open. In this talk I'll start with what OpenClaw is and what it can do, then walk through real attack vectors: indirect prompt injection via Gmail, malicious skills as supply chain attacks, gateway misconfigurations and tool injection through ingested content.
