HoloPal - a network of trusted digitalselves by Sofija Hotomski
What if AI could preserve not only what we know, but also how we think, communicate and make decisions? HoloPal is a social network of user-owned digital selves that people build through voice and text journaling, then verify and selectively share with others. In this talk, I will demonstrate the working prototype, the main use cases and a bit of history behind. I will share what I have learned while combining LLMs, retrieval, voice cloning and animated avatars. I will share the biggest challenges I face from bringing HoloPal from a working prototype to a live product, such as animation costs, data protection and trust, security challenges, etc. I will ask for beta testers willing to create their digital self and provide me with their feedback.
