A Future for Everyone: Ethical Implications of AI Accessibility for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Description AI Ethics is a burgeoning field. Representing the intrinsic multidisciplinary nature of AI and highlighting the need to include wide-ranging, long-term social considerations into approaches to development and risk, this talk will focus on exploring how AI accessibility initiatives can have a positive impact on fostering diversity, equity and inclusion. In particular, we will center the discussion on how AI can be used as a tool for empowering people with disabilities and cognitive limitations and will explore the emerging paradigm of "inclusive technologies" and how AI fits into a broader view of advancing human-centric technology focused on supporting and maximizing happiness and wellbeing. Finally we will also touch upon the intersection between AI and epistemic justice in lieu of setting out future research agendas.
