Mindstone New York February AI Meetup

Welcome to the biggest Practical AI Meetup in New York!

Join us once a month as we explore the world of artificial intelligence, its cutting-edge practical applications, and the astonishing projects that are shaping our future.

Why should you attend?

  • Get up close and personal with the AI projects that are redefining the boundaries of technology and human potential.
  • Learn from the brightest minds in the field and gain valuable insights into the ever-evolving AI landscape.
  • Unleash your curiosity, fuel your creativity, and expand your network as you connect with fellow AI aficionados and pioneers.

What you can expect?

Mindstone events consist of three talks covering different aspects:

  • What I Learned Building With LLMs: A technical talk breaking down the process for building a product using AI with real-life learnings and insights.
  • How To Be More Productive Using AI: A practical demo and step-by-step guide on how to use AI to speed up and improve tasks.
  • What Does The Future Look Like With AI?: A theoretical talk on the impact of AI on work, life and society.

After the talks we'll have pizza, drinks, and time to connect with everyone around you.

Don't miss the opportunity to see what's really happening in AI - you'll be surprised at what's already possible today.

We have limited spots available, so get your ticket ahead of time to avoid disappointment!

Agents for non-technical teams by Sahil Sinha
Non-technical teams face a wave of unknowns when adopting AI agents. Should you hire engineers to build custom tools? Use no-code platforms? Choose a vertical solution? And how do you handle real-world concerns like data access, permissions, and long-term ownership? This talk offers a practical framework for making those decisions. You’ll learn how to evaluate your options, deploy agents responsibly, and structure your approach so AI becomes an operational advantage- not a one-off experiment.

The Real Scaling Problem Is Not Models. It’s Humans by Samantha Mulcahy
AI is scaling rapidly. Models are improving, costs are dropping, and deployment is accelerating. What is not scaling at the same rate is human judgment, decision clarity, and accountability. Most failures do not occur inside the model. They occur at the human seams such as unclear ownership, over trust in confident outputs, alert fatigue, and no shared rule for when to intervene. As systems scale, cognitive overload, priority confusion, and decision ambiguity become reliability risks rather than people problems. Organizations often optimize model performance while breaking at the point where human judgment must interpret, escalate, or take responsibility. As AI expands across workflows, it does not just increase speed. It amplifies what already exists. Weak prioritization becomes chaos. Poor communication becomes misinformation. Fragile trust becomes resistance. Burnout accelerates when expectations rise but clarity does not. Teams that struggled with Agile discipline, decision rights, or information flow will feel these fractures widen under AI acceleration. AI does not create leadership problems. It exposes and scales them. The real constraint to scale is not technical capability. It is human readiness. We are not just scaling intelligence. We are scaling consequences.

From Idea to App in Minutes: Enterprise Vibe Coding with Base44 by Matt Murphy
Through real-time audience prompts, Matt demonstrates how ideas can quickly turn into working prototypes—lowering the barrier to software creation and democratizing development across organizations. The key message: you don’t need to be a developer to build useful software, and enterprises can move faster by empowering more people to create.
