From Village Fields to AI: Building Krishi AI with LLM Tools by Vivek Maswadkar
I am Vivek Maswadkar, an AI Engineer and technology professional based in Zurich. I come from a small village in India, from a farming background, and that connection to agriculture has always stayed with me. My professional journey started in banking technology, test management, and automation, and over time evolved into AI, machine learning, cloud engineering, and LLM-based product development. I have worked across large enterprise systems, data platforms, mobile apps, RAG systems, and AI automation. Krishi AI is deeply personal for me. It combines my roots in farming with my current work in artificial intelligence. One of my biggest motivations was to explore how modern LLM tools can support farmers and agricultural communities by making information, guidance, and technology more accessible. In this talk, I will share my journey of creating Krishi AI: how I used LLM tools for research, ideation, architecture, coding, debugging, and product development, and what I learned while turning a personal motivation into a practical AI solution.
