Introduction
Welcome and event introduction
Perils of Automation by Shareef Beane
In this lecture, I will introduce Mosaique v1, a prototype AI designed to integrate ethics, history, and cultural awareness into its responses. I will explore how AI systems often reproduce bias and misunderstand human context, and how Mosaique uses Agnostic Rules to identify, flag, and safely reframe content while remaining historically and culturally accurate. Attendees will learn about the role of bias evaluation rubrics, the importance of contextual grounding in historical and ethical knowledge, and how AI can be guided to deliver fair, responsible, and socially conscious outputs. I will also discuss the potential applications of this approach in corporate, nonprofit, and research settings, emphasizing practical strategies for integrating ethics into AI-driven decision-making.

Building a Digital Publishing Brand in 30 Days with AI: A Practical Demo by Rachel Hill
In this live demo, I’ll show how I used generative AI to create a full digital publishing brand—from concept to monetization—in under 30 days. I’ll walk through my workflow for ideation, product creation, and marketing automation, focusing on how AI tools like ChatGPT, Canva, and Midjourney streamlined every step. The session includes a live demonstration of how I design and generate a coloring page using AI, sharing key lessons learned about workflow design, brand cohesion, and the limits of LLMs in creative publishing.
